PC co-op games by player count
Headcount first, genre second. These lists are starting points — not a shopping cart.
Count the roster first
Player count is the filter before genre, reviews, or sale price. A four-person Friday needs a four-player lobby — not a duo story game someone hopes to stretch.
Player limits vary by mode, DLC, and patch. Confirm the co-op lobby cap on the Steam or Epic store page before you buy for the group.
Pick your squad size
- Two players (pairs) — strict duos and great two-player campaigns.
- Three players — survival, hunts, and sandboxes that tolerate a trio.
- Four players — the most common friend-group size on PC.
- Five or more — party games, MMOs, and multi-squad nights.
Then check ownership
Lists suggest candidates. Your squad still needs shared copies on Steam, Epic, and EA. Read check player count before you buy and filter overlap before you pitch a new purchase.
