Check co-op player count before your squad buys
Store tags lie. Count your squad first, then shop.
Headcount before hype
A squad of four needs a game that supports four in one co-op lobby. Not a strict two-player story title. Match the list to tonight's headcount; do not invent parallel lobbies to stretch a smaller-cap game.
Check the player count on the store page or a trusted reference before someone buys for the group.
Common squad sizes
- Duo: verify 2-player co-op or shared PvE - see two-player picks.
- Three: many survival sandboxes work; strict 2P games do not - see three-player picks.
- Four: check lobby cap - some "co-op" tags mean 2 online. Start from four-player co-op.
- Five-plus: party games, sandbox servers, or activities with a documented cap of five or higher - see PC games for five players.
After someone buys
Sync libraries before you assume the new title is in overlap. Shared games only counts owned copies. Browse co-op picks by player count once headcount is fixed. Prefer genre? Browse PC co-op by genre.
