Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 May 2026

Please read these terms before using PlayGrid. They cover eligibility, acceptable use, third-party game platforms, disclaimers, and how we handle disputes.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PlayGrid website, download page, browser demo, and Windows desktop application (collectively, the "Services") operated by Rafał Szołtysik (sole proprietorship / JDG)("we", "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract. The desktop app is intended for personal, non-commercial use on Windows PCs unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. The Services (including beta)

PlayGrid aggregates game libraries from connected stores, helps you coordinate with friends, and plan gaming sessions. The app is a personal library and launcher for games you already own - not a store. We do not sell, license, or distribute games on behalf of Valve, Steam, or other platforms. Features may change, be limited, or require early access. Download availability may change by platform or region.

The browser demo at https://www.playgrids.app/demo/ uses fictional sample data and is for illustration only.

4. Accounts and security

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly at office@playgrids.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

5. Third-party platforms and game content

Connecting Steam, Epic, GOG, Xbox, EA, Ubisoft, or other services requires complying with their terms. PlayGrid is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Valve, Steam, or any game publisher unless we state otherwise in writing.

  • Your use of platform accounts, games, and anti-cheat rules remains governed by each platform's agreements.
  • When you connect Steam, we use Steam Web API and related services under Valve's API terms; you must comply with the Steam Subscriber Agreement for your Steam account.
  • We retrieve platform data about you only to provide features you use (e.g. library sync, launch, friends, sessions).
  • Game titles, logos, and cover art displayed in the app belong to their respective owners. We show artwork only to identify games in your library or sessions - not to advertise or resell games.
  • Cover images may be loaded from platform CDNs (e.g. Steam's public CDN). You must not use the Services to scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute that artwork outside normal app use.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Violate laws, infringe intellectual property, or harass others.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems except as permitted by law.
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other users.
  • Use the Services to cheat, exploit games, or circumvent platform anti-cheat rules.
  • Resell or commercially exploit the Services without our written permission.
  • Use the Services as a game store, key reseller, or to promote sales of third-party games using publisher or platform artwork without authorization.
  • Misrepresent PlayGrid as Steam, Valve, or any connected platform, or remove required third-party notices.

7. Your content and our license

You retain rights to content you submit (e.g. display name, session titles). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including PlayGrid software, branding, and site design, are owned by us or our licensors. Game titles, cover art, and platform trademarks (including Steam® and related marks) are the property of their respective owners and are displayed under nominative fair use to operate your personal library. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our IP or to third-party game assets except using the Services as intended for your own games.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, THAT LAUNCHING GAMES WILL ALWAYS SUCCEED, OR THAT SCHEDULING SUGGESTIONS WILL MATCH EVERY PARTICIPANT'S AVAILABILITY.

LIBRARY DATA, PLATFORM METADATA, AND GAME ARTWORK FROM THIRD PARTIES (INCLUDING STEAM DATA) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY FROM US OR FROM VALVE OR OTHER PLATFORMS. AVAILABILITY OF COVER IMAGES OR API ENDPOINTS MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) EUR 50, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (INCLUDING MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS IN THE EEA/UK).

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion via office@playgrids.app. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for operational reasons with notice where reasonable.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence that cannot be waived.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes

We may modify these Terms. We will post updates on this page and adjust the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; for material changes we may provide additional notice.
