Why does Windows say PlayGrid has an unknown publisher?
The installer is not yet listed with a paid Authenticode certificate in Microsoft’s reputation system. SmartScreen warns on many new indie apps. You can still install after confirming the file came from playgrids.app/download.
Is the PlayGrid installer safe to run?
We publish the Windows build only through playgrids.app and our API download endpoint. Verify the file name matches PlayGrid_*_x64-setup.exe and the download URL is on playgrids.app. If you got the file elsewhere, do not run it.
How do I get past the SmartScreen warning?
On the blue SmartScreen dialog, click More info, then Run anyway. Complete the NSIS setup wizard. If a different security product blocks the file, check that product’s quarantine list or allowlist.
