Set up PlayGrid for a Discord co-op server
Admins add the bot once. Members plan from Discord Activity: link stores in the browser, match games in voice chat, RSVP. Start the game in Steam or Epic.
What admins set up once
Invite the PlayGrid bot for slash commands, session cards, RSVP buttons, and optional open LFG posts. Members still plan from Discord Activity.
Everyone who wants honest shared lists needs linked stores (Steam, Epic, and EA) via Connect stores in Activity.
Setup flow for server admins
- Open Discord setup guide and sign in with Discord.
- Add the PlayGrid bot when prompted.
- Pin a channel for session posts or configure LFG if your group wants public RSVPs.
- Tell members: open PlayGrid from the Activity shelf in a voice channel, then link stores in the browser.
Bot vs Activity
Bot: channel posts, slash helpers, invite DMs (session for linked accounts, signup for guests), RSVP buttons when Discord is linked.
Activity: shared games for people on the call, session create, RSVP. See plan a co-op night in Discord Activity.
Steam and Epic still start the title after the plan is locked.
Onboard members without spam
- One pinned message: Activity steps, Discord setup link, your weekly slot.
- Point new members to plan a co-op night in Discord Activity.
- Run a Friday poll only after overlap is done - not across the whole backlog.
